Talent Training & Retention

Updated: Apr 20

Congratulations! You've taken the time to carefully recruit and select the perfect candidate for a position with your company.

Help set them up for success and a long future with your company by welcoming them with a defined onboarding plan.

Defining your onboarding plan

It doesn't have to be anything fancy but you may want to include a few of the basics to get them started off on the right foot.

•Welcome them with introductions to their new team

•Make sure they understand what is expected of them (unless it's new and they're helping create it) and how it relates to the overall success of the company

•Train them on how to do their job and resources they have available

•Provide feedback (especially during training) so they know when they're doing a good job

•Establish routine communication for your new hire and their manager

Setting up for success or failure

There's a lot involved with adding a new member to your company. From the hours of interviewing to the "oh geez" they're starting next week stress, there are steps you can take to minimize much of that.

Save yourself and your potential new hire some unnecessary anxiety and your company some money by creating an onboarding structure ahead of time.
